At The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team we are a team of passionate and enthusiastic people who work together to design and develop the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand Prix winner George Russell.

About the Role:
As a Team, our values encourage us to look constantly at what we do, asking ourselves “how can we do better?” This question will be at the heart of your placement in the Aerodynamics department. As a Wind Tunnel R&D Industrial Placement, you will contribute to the development and application of the latest technology to the wind-tunnel. You will work on projects that solve interesting and challenging problems which require a broad range of skills such as: interpretation and presentation of data, mechanical design, CFD, electronics, optics and programming.
You will enjoy working within a motivated team and be confident in understanding problems as they arise and deciding how best to plan your work in resolving them. You will be able to effectively communicate progress and results on your projects whilst contributing ideas to others. Mentored by knowledgeable specialists, you will see your skills develop and you will return to university with a year of experience that will help you grow in your career, connecting theory to practice.
Successful candidates will have:
Essential:
At least one year left on their studies at the time of taking up the placement in July 2025.
