The Programme Manager will lead the management and delivery of assemblies and systems for our F1 Programme. They will have a key role in leading the development, planning, monitoring and delivery of complex engineering projects. Working closely with the Head of Department and stakeholders to achieve our objectives in this high profile, demanding role.
Definition and implementation of new programmes.
Provide coordination and direction to the engineering, operations and programme teams.
Drive programme scope requirements, including quantities at an assembly level
Drivedelivery across all relevant functions, ensuring effective decisions are made and clearly defined processes are in place and adhered to.
Lead programme reviews, gateway and programme update presentations.
Work cross-functionally to identify and implement delivery process improvements. Maintaining strong, effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
Hold stakeholders to account ensuring successful delivery of the programmes and represent the programme plan providing status updates in senior forums.
Facilitate steering groups ensuring agendas are completed to time and that key forums run smoothly providing a platform to drive actions and updates.
Meeting the team’s corporate objectives.
Primary point of contact, providing strong and credible leadership across multiple programmes.
Own, manage and deliver the programme and it’s planning, taking personal accountability for the outcome.
Develop and maintain relevant metrics for reporting programme status.
Effectively lead the interface, engagement and communications with all stakeholders.
Proactively identify and manage mitigations for risks facing the delivery of the programmes, whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Chair reviews both during the programme delivery lifecycle and following programme closure that formally assess the programme’s continued alignment with its business case, objectives, capability of delivery and measurable achievement of wider benefits.
Promote collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to encourage strong team working. Seeking and proactively responding to their feedback.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading the delivery of complex motorsport projects or programmes, ideally within F1. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with our, engineers, operational staff and senior managers to deliver successful outcomes.
You will be able to act on your own initiative, demonstrate sound judgement, and have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
You will be educated to degree level
A strong programme management background from within motorsport, ideally F1, is a pre-requisite
Significant experience of leading teams in a high pressure, dynamic environment.
Manufacturing experience from working in a high-performance Engineering environment is highly desirable.
Full working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel to advanced level, and a working knowledge of ERP systems is highly desirable.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, influencing and reporting skills at all levels.
Substantial experience of managing programmes within a low volume, high complexity environment.
A good understanding of all aspects of procurement in a fast moving, high precision supply base.
Ability to remain focused and objective when faced with adversity.
Ability to create a positive profile for themselves and the team.
Strong business analysis skills, possessing a process mind-set with a capability for logically solving complex problems.
Resilient and professional with a belief in the concept of Continuous Improvement.
Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus.
Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a ‘can do’, ‘team playing’ attitude. Good verbal and written communication skills are very important. The ability to work under minimal supervision to strict deadlines and in a professional manner is essential.
