Are you a qualified Chef, looking to escape the constant weekend and evening working?
As part of our commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience at Snetterton Race circuit, we are looking to further enhance our catering service and are seeking a motivated and hardworking Chef to join the Catering team in our well-regarded restaurant – Tyrrells. Your role will involve creating an inspiring menu using a creative flair to cater for our varied customer demographic including race team managers, drivers/riders, VIPs, track day guests and general admission visitors.
The Chef will be responsible for:
Elevating our food service and menu options throughout the Tyrrells restaurant
Overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation and hygiene standards are consistently met
Monitor stock levels and ensure servery is kept topped up with well-presented food options
Inspire a small back of house team to deliver exceptional food standards
Maintain budgetary control over food and labour costs
Delegating work to assistants within the kitchen
Monitor food stock discarding of any out-of-date items
Oversee the catering options for occasional hospitality events
To apply for the role you will be / have:
Proven experience of working within a professional catering environment ideally with event catering experience
Experience creating innovative and inspiring menus catering to a varied audience
In-depth knowledge and being educated to the current Food Hygiene standards and best practices
Experience maintaining an extremely clean and tidy working area.
Ability to work morning and afternoon shifts
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small catering team
Full UK driving licence

This role will involve working 42.5 hours a week made up primarily of mid-week shifts, however additional cover will be required at promoted events (Up to 6 weekend events a year). Due to the location of Snetterton circuit, a full UK driving licence will be essential for the position.
