Description
Lap Of Lights is a unique festive event, giving attendees the opportunity to drive their car on the British Grand Prix racing circuit with a festive section of the track transformed into a light and laser spectacle. Customers will be led around the track at 5mph by illuminated pace cars whilst enjoying a light and laser show at various points on their way around. In addition to the lap, there is the opportunity to visit The Wing garages where there will be an Ice Trak, food and beverage for pre or post lap refuelling and Santa’s Garage.✨🎄⛸️
Reporting to the Rink Ops Manager and the SCL Event Management team, the boot exchange team requires a high level of customer service to all the ice rink customers. As one of the first friendly faces customers see, they’ll help create a fun, welcoming, and top-notch experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Give every customer a warm welcome and make sure they have a great start to their visit — your smile sets the tone! 😄
- You’ll play a vital role in keeping the skate area tidy, safe, and ready for action.
- Work with key stakeholders to keep everything fresh and organized. You’ll look after your own space - things like wiping surfaces or emptying bins when needed.
- As part of the team, you’ll help keep the queues moving and make sure everyone gets their skates and hits the ice on time. Chat with customers, share a smile, and keep the good vibes flowing – remember you represent Silverstone.
- Be friendly, patient, and reassuring, especially if someone’s a bit nervous about skating.
- Ensure the skate exchange area is safe, supporting with crowd control and queue management and reporting any concerns to the relevant people.
- Make sure customers get the right skate size and keep their shoes stored neatly. Follow the check-in and return steps so everything runs smoothly.
- If something’s not quite right, flag it to a manager — better to catch things early!
Shift Times: 13:30 (1.30 PM) to 22:00 (10:00 PM)
- Shifts run Dec 11th - Dec 24th.
- Mandatory: Must attend on Dec 11th.
