Qualification
Evaluates the supplied parts meet BMW Group's quality standards and specifications and steers the control of non-conforming material relevant for QMT Front Desk. Coordinates the Quality Initiatives for purchased parts. Prioritizes daily quality landscape to achieve QMT Front Desk targets
Ensures parts not conforming to BMW specifications are contained.
Coordinates part quality for series projects after accepted hand over from QMT KIDAG.
Ensures robust containment of non-conforming material.
Serves as the first point of contact to the supplier and QMT Back Desk.
Collaborates on the quality problem solving process for non-conforming material from series parts supplier including managing the 8D process.
Ensures relevant QMT Front Desk processes and procedures are followed.
Confirms supplier performance through KPI steering and leads department level escalation process through BMW quality systems ensuring compliance to the escalation process.
Ensures QMT Front Desk cost recovery for supplier performance topics including management of disputes and reallocation within BMW.
Aligns the daily performance of QMT Front Desk service providers within directed parts and part commodities.
Collaborates within E, M, and T for problem resolution with focus on the shop floor.
Works on behalf of the QMT Front Desk department for required TX- relevant quality circles.
Understand and models VPS (Value-added Production System) principles and concepts of standard work.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree. OR AA/AS degree AND 2 of experience in process quality or quality systems. OR 4 years of experience in process quality or quality systems, preferably in manufacturing
1+ years of experience in process quality or quality OR 6 months participation in a Supplier Quality Co-Op/ Internship.
1+ years of experience management of supplier quality (preferred).
As applicable, per BMW Training Guidelines.
Valid Driver's License.
2+ years of knowledge of NCM process and material management.
Lead processes and/or cross-functional teams.
2+ years of knowledge of plant operations.
2+ years of knowledge of quality processes and systems.
2+ years of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
2+ years of strong communication skills (interpersonal, presentation, and written) as well as influencing and negotiation skills.
2+ years of strong problem solving and resource management skills.
2+ years of project management skills with a proven capability to lead
