Team Penske is looking for a dedicated entry level Mechanic to join the team. This position will be an apprentice style role within our Assembly/Electrical departments. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn the trade while gaining hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical systems. The apprentice will assist with inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components.
- Support the installation, repair, and assembly of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Help diagnose and troubleshoot issues in vehicle systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Disassemble and reassemble components as needed for repair or maintenance.
- Maintain tools, workspaces, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Follow safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma from a Trade School or relevant work experience (preferred).
- Prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or automotive maintenance is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in various environments, including standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
