Since then, ‘The British Motorsport Company’ has enjoyed rapid expansion; scaling up production to support global exports, running multiple successful domestic championships and expanding its offering with supporting brands including Want2race, Blyton Park and Sim Track.
About the role:
Ginetta’s carbon shop is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our rapidly expanding team, as a junior finisher/production operative you will be responsible for bonding/filling and polishing carbon fibre parts for our various race and road car projects, as well as general workshop duties, including but not limited to, demoulding, mould maintenance, kit cutting etc.
As a Junior Finisher, it will be your job to:
Flatten and polish various composite components both by hand and machine
Prepare and bond various composite components
Bond and fix of various fasteners
Demould composite parts
Maintain moulds to a high standard
Cut/prepare core materials
Work with autoclave technician to cut materials and make lamination kits
The successful candidate will:
Have great attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
Be able to follow both written and verbal instruction.
Show great dexterity and co-ordination
Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, consistently work with precision and care.
Have excellent work ethic and able to work within a team as well as independently
Show good housekeeping, able to work with cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines
Preferably have good understanding of various hand/power tools but this is not essential providing candidates can show a good level of attention to detail and dexterity. As full training will be given.
