Experience Level:
Student / Intern
Desired Job Role:
Formula One, Indy Car, Nascar, WRC, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Aerodynamics, Composites, CFD, Race Engineer / Pit Crew
Experience:
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at California Baptist University, expected to graduate in April 2025, with a passion for applying engineering principles to real-world problems, particularly in the automotive industry. With a cumulative GPA of 3.74, I strive to excel academically while building hands-on experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
Currently, I serve as the Suspension Subsystem Lead for the CalBaptist Formula SAE EV team. In this role, I design complex suspension systems using SolidWorks and SUS PROG, and collaborate across subsystems—including Chassis, Driver Controls, and Composites—to optimize vehicle performance and meet competition standards. I apply principles of physics, statics, and strength of materials to ensure both performance and safety. Additionally, I present detailed portfolios of our designs and analyses, including FEA and vehicle kinematics, to judges and alumni.
Previously, I interned at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, where I audited and documented field bulletins, ensuring documentation accuracy and supporting team protocols. My work simplified data processing and improved communication within field operations. At Solatube International, I contributed to designing modular, manufacturable components and managed material sourcing, collaborating across teams to enhance product functionality and optimize the customer experience.
With proficiency in tools such as SOLIDWORKS, FEA, CNC machining, MATLAB, and Java, I am motivated by opportunities to innovate and solve challenging engineering problems. I look forward to pursuing a career in the automotive industry, where I can apply my skills to develop high-performance, sustainable vehicles.
